Volunteers ages 13 & up can assist staff in maintaining local bodies of water from streams to rivers, with ongoing clean-up projects. These projects will take place along the Anacostia River, Patuxent River, Potomac River and local watersheds.
Volunteers may also assist Park Rangers with stream health assessments by identifying living organisms, which act as indicator species. Training is provided; project schedules and training vary by a location's needs.
