Groups or individuals can adopt a pond in Prince George's County. Responsibilities include periodic monitoring and removal of trash and debris; reporting park needs; and other environmental projects as needed. 

This opportunity requires a two-year commitment; training and materials are provided by the Park Rangers. Although volunteer assignment schedules vary, this opportunity is ideal for anyone in the community. Those who adopt a pond are recognized with signage at their pond.
