Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebration

Each year, The M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County is excited to invite the public to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with a collection of live dance, music, and martial arts performances celebrating the diverse heritage and unique contributions of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities in the United States.

Join us for an afternoon of celebration and education about the generations of Asian and Pacific Islanders who have enriched America's history and are instrumental in its future success. Experience a variety of cultural traditions and contributions to culinary arts, entertainment, and activities.

The 2022 reception featured performances by Washington Samulnori, Teen World Dancers, Somapa Thai Dance Company, Meki’s Tamure Polynesian Arts Group, Tai Yim Kung Fu School, and more! Children’s hands-on activities are presented by Arts on a Roll.
