Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board (PRAB) is an appointed group of 11 committed community members who are passionate about Parks and Recreation in Prince George's County.

If interested in applying to serve on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, please send a letter of interest and resume to the Board for consideration. Please understand that the PRAB review and approval is a 60-day
process after which selected candidates are notified.
Responsibilities
PRAB provides advice to the County Council, County Executive and Planning Board on issues related to parks and recreation. All members appointed to the Board shall serve as liaisons with the community and provide advice and advocacy to the total park and recreation program and not to any special park and recreation segment. Membership on PRAB consists of individuals who have been appointed by the County Executive and confirmed by the County Council. Initially, four members are appointed for four years, four members are appointed for three years and three members are appointed for two years.
Meetings
Under the current by-laws, PRAB meets once a month on every fourth Wednesday of the month, from 7 to 9 p.m., with a light dinner served at 6:30 p.m. The Board usually meets at the Maryland-National Capital Parks and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC)
Parks and Recreation Administration Building and occasionally at other M-NCPPC sites on a rotating basis.
Regions
PRAB members are identified as Central, Southern, Northern, and At-Large members, representing that region of the County.
