Come enjoy Bladensburg Waterfront Park, located on the scenic Anacostia River, one of the most historic waterways in America! Explore the river by boat or the hiker/biker trails linking to the Anacostia Tributary Trail System and the new Anacostia River Trail to Washington, D.C.

As of July 1, 2020, Bladensburg Waterfront Park has reopened its front gate to vehicles, providing access to the boat ramp, canoe & kayak launch dock, and fishing pier. The boatyard and community boathouse are also open for contract holders and users, with face covering use required in these areas. All trails and park grounds are open for walk-in visitation only while practicing social distancing. No group events or gatherings of 10 or more are permitted.

The Park Office, Classroom, Waterfront Studio, equipment rentals, and boat tours are currently closed to the public. Thank you for your patience. For more information, please call 301-779-0371

Engage your class or group with an environmental or social studies program! Enjoy special events in the park throughout the season including live concerts and festivals, such as the annual Port Towns Day.

LOCATION & DIRECTIONS

From Washington D.C., take New York Avenue East. Turn North on Bladensburg Road. Pass Peace Cross on left. You are now on MD Route 450. Take 1st right into Bladensburg Waterfront Park. There is a sign at the entrance. 

From Maryland, from the Beltway, take exit 23 which is Kenilworth Avenue South towards Bladensburg. Go five miles. After traffic light for Upshur Street intersection, go right on the exit ramp to MD Route 450 (Annapolis Road). Go left at end of exit ramp onto Route 450 West. Park Entrance is 2 short blocks on the left. 

From Virginia, take Kenilworth Avenue North. Take the exit ramp on the right to MD Route 450 West. Turn right at the stoplight onto MD Route 450 West. Park entrance is 2 short blocks on the left.
