Request For Comments: Guidelines For the Preparation of a Natural Resource Inventory
The Prince George’s County Planning Department requests your input on Environmental Technical Manual (ETM) Part B: Guidelines For the Preparation of a Natural Resource Inventory (NRI). For the past 30 years, Prince George’s County has worked to protect its environmental resources. And over the course of these past years, there have been several changes to the applicability, preparation and submission of an NRI.
Adopted by the Planning Board in September 2010, the ETM provides guidance and direction on how to prepare environmentally related plans and documents for submission to Prince George’s County in conformance with the appropriate sections of the County Code. The ETM is composed of five parts (A-E). The Department is currently updating Part B, also known as the Guidelines for the Preparation of a Natural Resources Inventory. Some of the proposed changes and updates include:
Five types of NRIs
Electronic submission process
Relocation of the forest stand delineation preparation from Section A to Section B
Extension of NRI validity
Additionally, the applicable appendices have been updated to be consistent with the draft, including the standard symbols, general notes and site statistics table.
Take a moment to review and provide your feedback on the draft Natural
Inventory Resource guidelines, Part B of the Environmental Technical Manual.
